Culture in Jena sets standards. The German Optical Museum, Zeiss Planetarium Jena, Theaterhaus Jena, Kassablanca, Imaginata, Circus MoMoLo and last but not least the municipal enterprise JenaKultur with the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, Jena Municipal Museums, Ernst Abbe Library, Music and Art School, Adult Education Center, numerous event venues as well as markets and city festivals, tourism marketing and special projects such as the Jenaer Kulturarena. It has become a magnet for visitors in summer, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year since 1992.
